Fire Training Center

The location of the Chehalis Fire Department Training Center is within the Chehalis Regional Water Reclamation Facility compound.

These shipping containers have been fabricated complete with a second floor and staircase for access. These containers will be used to simulate both residential and commercial structures and will be complimented with the typical types of furniture found in both settings. The application for use of this facility is limitless but will incorporate training for the many necessary and important skills such as: Forcible entry, search and rescue, fire hose and stream evolutions, MAYDAY/disoriented/SCBA emergencies, working around downed wires, and structure and other uncontrolled fire evolutions.

We are still discussing the options for adding more props to further add to this facility. We selected this option for a training center design because of its low cost and relatively flexible design. Our intention: Make the best use of department funds while still achieving an excellent training structure.
