Arson Investigation

Every fire needs to be investigated for cause and origin.

The Chehalis Fire Department has been investigating fires within the city since the founding of the department. 

Our fire investigators will typically be dispatched for any fires that may appear to have been arson, result in a substantial loss, involved insured property, or that result in injuries or fatalities. Currently under contractual agreement, our investigators respond out to other jurisdictions in Lewis County to investigate fires.

Our fire investigators are Certified Fire Investigators through both the International Fire Service Accredition Congress and the International Association of Arson Investigators.
