The City regularly undertakes projects involving water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation systems, with occasional needs for related facility and parks infrastructure. To support timely and efficient delivery of these projects, the City seeks to retain one or more qualified firms to provide professional services on an as-needed, task-order basis.
The intent is to establish flexible and responsive A/E contracts that provide the City with access to technical expertise across a variety of disciplines, ensuring high-quality design, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective project delivery of public works improvements.
Selected firms would be asked to do the following services: design, planning, permitting, environmental review, project management, and construction support for City projects
Objectives:
- Provide engineering and architectural support for City capital improvement and maintenance projects.
- Deliver design services for water, wastewater, stormwater, roadway, and utility improvements.
- Support building, parks, and facilities planning and design.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, including ADA and WSDOT standards where applicable.
- Provide construction management, inspection, and bid support services as needed.
The City received a strong response to its request for Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for on-call engineering services. A six-person review committee, representing various disciplines across the City that will utilize these services, carefully evaluated each submittal using a standardized scoring sheet. The individual scores were averaged, and based on the results, the top five firms were selected for inclusion on the City’s on-call engineering services list.
