What to do in Chehalis!

The town of Chehalis is known for a multitude of things and has a plethora of activities for the entire family to do!

 

 

 

LC Historical Museum

While in town, check out the Lewis County Historical Museum. The Museum showcases permanent exhibits showing the rich history of the area while also having rotating exhibits with fun and exciting history!  The museum is nestled next to the BNSF railroad and allows for train enthusiasts to get an up close view of the trains in action!

The Willapa Hills Trail System is a beautiful location to walk, run and ride bikes.  The trails take you from Chehalis all the way to South Bend, approximately 56 miles.  These trails are loved by fitness and photography enthusiasts alike as the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.

Exit 77, west on Hwy 6 to light, left on Riverside Dr, slight left on SW Newaukum Drive

Left on SW Sylvenus, right on Hillberger Rd. Parking lot and toilet on the left.

Vet's Museum

The Veteran's Museum located just off the freeway at exit 77, honors those in the military who have served, and tells their stories. They offer a glimpse into the history and sacrifice the men and women of the United States military have endured while honoring them. The museum also features other events throughout the year, such as car shows and music concerts.

While in the area, check out the Chehalis Centralia Railroad and Museum!  The Railroad Museum offers activities throughout the year and has amazing views throughout the Chehalis Valley.  The train depot has been in operation since 1986 and in filled with an immence history of trains and the surrounding area of Chehalis.
