Dobson-McFadden Park & Walking Trail
City of Chehalis Parks & Recreation
Located adjacent to the Chehalis Scout Lodge, the Dobson-McFadden Trail is a 1.3-mile out-and-back hike with an elevation gain of approximately 360 feet. This moderately challenging trail takes visitors through a quiet, forested landscape and leads to scenic viewpoints overlooking the surrounding Chehalis area—especially beautiful on clear days.
The trail was renovated and restored in 2022 as part of a dedicated Eagle Scout project, helping preserve and improve access to this natural space for the community. While several smaller offshoot trails exist, many are currently being restored. Visitors are asked to remain on the main trail to help protect native vegetation and ongoing regrowth efforts.
