Airport Pump Station Project Complete

In the Fall of 2017 the Airport Pump Station Replacement Project was completed. The upgrades to the previous system will protect the airport and businesses in the area for many years to come. This project was funded by a grant from the Chehalis River Basin Flood Authority through the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office. Thank you to all who helped!

In the Flood of January 2022 the levee and pump station performed flawlessly. The water reached the levee and the pump station was actively pumping the water out of the Airport. Staff and volunteers moved Airplanes to the high ground as the flooding rose. The flood perpetration and pump station worked together for a successful flood mitigation.
