Storm/Wastewater Collection Specialist

The City of Chehalis Public Works Department is accepting applications for a Storm/Wastewater Collection Specialist. 

This position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the cleaning, maintenance, repair, and care of the city’s storm and/or sanitary sewer collection/drainage systems and maintenance of other Public Works infrastructure.  Work involves the use and operation of specialized sewer/storm line jetting and cleaning equipment, and other machinery and equipment required for maintaining and repairing storm and/or sanitary sewer lines and related facilities.

The position also performs or participates in the maintenance, repair and installation of Public Works infrastructure and facilities such as streets, alleys, sidewalks, catch basins, open drainages, floodways, guardrails, waterlines, meter services, hydrants valves, water system components, sewer lines, manholes and the wastewater treatment plant.

This is a position represented by the Teamsters Local 252, and has a 2021 salary range of $3,889 to $4,727 per month.  Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance majority paid by the City; and enrollment in the State Department of Retirement Systems PERS 2 or 3 Plan.
