New Parking Ordinance

The Chehalis City council passed a parking ordinance on January 9, 2012, restricting parking on any city street for longer than 72 hours.

The purpose of this ordinance is to keep traffic moving in areas where parking is limited and prevent the city street from being used for vehicle storage.  This ordinance takes effect January 17, 2012.

The Police Department will respond to complaints of vehicles left on city streets.  Vehicles found in violation will be given 72 hours to move.  If the vehicle is not moved, it may be subject to impoundment at the owners' expense.

If you would like to file a parking complaint, please call dispatch at 740-1105.
