The Human Resources Department performs a variety of administrative, technical and professional work in administering the personnel systems of the city, including job descriptions, compensation reviews, recruitment, labor relations, training, orientation of new employees, and advice regarding discipline and discharge. The department also administers the city’s risk management duties, including loss control; liability, property and medical insurance programs; worker compensation claims; and employee safety.
