Accounting Technician II

The City of Chehalis Finance Department is hiring an Accounting Technician II.  This employee performs routine and complex accounting, technical, clerical, and administrative work in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipting. The position works closely with the Finance Director and Payroll Accountant providing clerical support and back up.  Please see the attached job description for a full explanation of the positions duties and responsibilities. 

This position is represented by the Teamsters Union #252.

The 2021 salary range for this position is $42,324 to $51,444.  A 1.5% increase is scheduled for January 2022. 
Benefits include medical insurance plans through either Kaiser or Regence, currently the city pays approximately 90% of premiums.  Benefits also include dental and vision coverage, and enrollment into the Department of Retirement Systems' PERS2 or PERS3 plan.
