Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library

After years of hard work by many volunteers and the generosity of over 500 donors, the Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library opened November 4, 2008. This Carnegie-inspired library features 9,000 square feet, is fully ADA compliant, has a large community room, and Washington's first drive-through library service window.  The library provides comfortable reading areas and two small study rooms.

The library is named in honor of the mother of former Chehalis resident and chief donor, Orin Smith.  The facility is built on the site of the previous Chehalis Library and Chehalis City Hall.  Visit the Library to find out about all the services and events going on throughout the year.
