Your City Council

City council meetings are held at 5:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Otherwise, City Councilors do not keep regular office hours at city hall. Please call to arrange an appointment.  Don't know who your council member is?  Just click on the Council District Map below to find out.

The City Council is the legislative branch of city government. The seven councilors, who select the mayor from among themselves, are the City's only elected officials. Together they develop the goals and policies necessary to establish the roles that the city should play, the services and programs it should provide, and the projects it should undertake in striving toward their vision of the community's future. They then provide the political leadership necessary to achieve the city's goals.
